The Andromedan Arbiter

The Arbiters are the diplomats and judges of the Xylocat race. Their lineage originates from the Andromeda constellation. Their "Cardinal Air" nature means they initiate social structures and intellectual balance.

The secret of their origin, and their obsession with balance, is encoded in their brightest star, Alpheratz (α Andromedae). Alpheratz is a "binary system" of two stars in a close, stable orbit. But it also links two constellations, forming one corner of the "Great Square of Pegasus". This Xylo-Signal is one of connection and balance between two separate bodies. Their entire personality is a "Cardinal" initiation of balance, choosing diplomacy and logic (the "Eclipse Transmission") to link disparate groups and create order.
